A great education prepares students for examinations while helping them develop the skills, character and confidence to build meaningful lives.
At St. Anthony’s College, this belief inspired a bold partnership one year ago with Isabel Dennis to launch The Village School.
The Village School is a research-informed Caribbean-centred learning model that explores how schools can support students to develop the knowledge, confidence and character they need to lead themselves, lead others and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
The journey began with one pilot class of Form 1 students exploring an approach to learning that connects academic growth with identity, leadership, communication, culture and community. Supported by committed teachers and staff, students engaged in experiences inside and outside the classroom that invited them to discover more about themselves, each other and their role in the world around them.
In Year Two, the journey continues as the original pilot class moves into Form 2 and takes on a new role in helping welcome and guide the incoming Form 1 students into the Village School community.
This page will share that journey through reflections from students, parents, teachers and partners as we continue to learn, grow and explore what is possible when we place the student at the centre of education.

Welcome to The Village School.
